Germany sacked their coach. For now, the Legend Rudi Völler himself will manage them against France. To put him in persepctive, Völler played two World Cup finals against Maradona and he won the Champions League at Marseille together with Deschamps, current France manager, in 1993. This was 30 years ago and today Völler can get his 30th win as Germany manager in all spells.
I said “For now” above, because Völler said to the press that he will definetely only do this one match today. His role at the assossiation is the sporting director normally and they are have some other guys in their mind for the manager position in the future, who they dont tell yet.
