The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their second straight loss on Wednesday after being on the wrong end of a 134-110 blowout against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who for their part are now 5-0 to start the season.
While it may have been a forgettable evening for the Lakers as a whole, the game also produced a special moment for rookie Bronny James. The lopsided nature of the contest gave the 20-year-old a chance to get some minutes after being a healthy DNP (did not play) in LA’s last three games.
With a little over two minutes remaining in the game, James scored his first NBA basket via a stepback jumper from the wing. As soon as the ball hit the bottom of the net, the Cavs home crowd at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse erupted with cheers.
